Information Collection and Use

GK Maps+ stores trips, places, expenses, todos, notes, reminders, saved places, and AI chat consent locally on your device. The app does not require an account, subscription, or social profile.

When you allow location access, GK Maps+ uses your location to show your current position on the map while planning trips. The app does not perform background location tracking, turn-by-turn navigation, or route calculation.

AI Planner Chat

AI Planner Chat is optional and is blocked until you explicitly agree to AI chat data sharing in the app. Before any AI chat network request is made, the consent screen explains the data sent, the recipient, and the purpose.

If you agree, GK Maps+ sends the text of each user message, a chat_id created when the chat session starts, and a fixed system_prompt about travel planning to OpenRouter Chat proxy, a third-party AI chat service hosted on Railway at freeopenrouterchat-production.up.railway.app. This data is used only to generate travel planning chat responses and recommendations.

The AI chat service acts as a third-party service provider and processor for this feature. It is expected to protect submitted data under the same or equivalent confidentiality and security commitments described in this Privacy Policy. The AI chat service may retain conversation history server-side using chat_id for conversation continuity.

You can revoke AI chat data sharing at any time in Settings. Revocation resets the local chat session, removes the local chat_id , and blocks additional AI chat requests until you agree again.

Third Party Access

GK Maps+ does not sell your data. The AI Planner Chat feature sends chat data only to OpenRouter Chat proxy, a third-party AI chat service hosted on Railway at freeopenrouterchat-production.up.railway.app after your explicit consent. The app may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect rights, safety, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop local data collection by uninstalling the application. You can stop AI chat data sharing in Settings without uninstalling the app.

Data Retention

Local trip planning data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. AI chat conversation continuity may be retained by the AI chat service using chat_id as described above.

Children

GK Maps+ does not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information and uses reasonable safeguards for information processed and maintained by the application.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the application after updates means you accept the revised policy. This Privacy Policy is effective as of June 19, 2026.
